[Reflections]

There are precious eleven theories I’ve learned from my teacher, Dr. Prema. I believe those are very helpful and useful tools for teaching Bible. MoT by Bruce Joyce is helping me to understand leaner’s type well. DoL by Marzano is good to know the sequence of learning steps. MI also indicates what the learner’s intelligence is. Cooperative learning and Expert Jigsaw are useful for small group work. KWL is a suitable strategy for a reading activity. CA and Taba are for inductive strategies. Bloom’s Taxonomy shows me the classified educational learning objective into levels of complexity and specificity. Advanced Organizer helps a learner to catch on easy complex and difficult subjects. I love all of the theories because these can be used for my ministry.

I’ve collected all the materials from my class such as instructions, rubrics, templates, samples of strategies, articles, PDF, DOC, PPT files. songs, videos, Pictures, and classroom decoration. Therefore, through this materials, I can manage my Bible class. Instructions, rubrics are guiding the purpose of this class. Template and samples of strategies help me know how to teach efficiently. Articles, PDF, DOC, PPT methods provide me abundant sources of the class. Videos, pictures, songs, and decorations remind me the happy moments in my memorable class. I really thank the teacher for giving me these valuable things free.

I made own my compendium as my teacher did. It includes eight sections such as about Jesus, about teacher, about learner, about methods, about coaching, about planning, about teaching, and about articles. About Jesus is my standard and about teacher is about my attitude. About learner is my understanding of the students and about methods is my tools. About coaching, planning, and teaching are my strategies and about articles is my guideline how to manage my class, student, and myself as a teacher. It helped me to understand what advanced teaching method is full.

My work is my footprint what I have done during this class. Journal is my good memories what I’ve learned from my beloved teacher. Lesson Plan and Unit Plan are my results. Actually, it was very practical activity so that I realized and learned how important and wonderful theories are. Self-Check Quiz, honestly, it was very stressful for me however, it helps me where I am and what I need to study more. The research paper is the period of my class in this term. it was very meaningful because my topic was strategies for teaching Bible. Through this work, I am equipped as an advanced teacher.

I think this is the most valuable material for me because through the lecture note I can get all the theories about advanced teaching methods. When I read it I could imagine that I am having a class with my teacher. When I study it I could solve all my questions clearly. Because It contains most theories, materials, and strategies so that I am able to get all information, skills, and know-how. Moreover, the teacher explains the methods step by step and kindly in detail. It is very organized, clear and effective. It composed in order of Dimension of Leaning. It was very interesting and impressing. It also gives me a motivation that I want to make own my lecture note as the teacher made. I believe my teacher is inspiring me.

I’ve gathered some video clips from youtube which are related to advanced teaching methods. Some videos are very useful for getting some idea of teaching. It supplements my misunderstanding or misconceptions. Some of them also include good examples of demonstration so that I can catch up the skills of teaching. There are 30 video clips.

I’ve got some Powerpoint sources from my teacher and internet sites. Those are about advanced teaching method theories. I have around 20 powerpoint files and made it as a video clip so that anyone can use it to learn about teaching methods by any gadgets such as tablet and cellphone without powerpoint applications. These are explaining all the theories very clear and organized. Therefore, it is very helpful and useful for the learner who wants to study about advanced teaching method.
